250 Moto 2 at Southwick and Round 6 of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship is heading toward its conclusion in the Massachusetts sand. With the overall on the line and a track that has been chewed up by a full day of racing, the second moto at The Wick 338 brought the kind of deep, rutted sand racing that this venue is legendary for.
250 Class Moto 2 — Southwick
By Moto 2 the Southwick sand is at its most demanding. The ruts are deep, the berms are blown out, and finding a clean line through the chaos becomes as important as raw speed. The physical toll of sand racing adds up fast — and in the closing laps of Moto 2 at Southwick, the riders who prepared specifically for these conditions are the ones still pushing while others are simply trying to survive.

Round 6 Overall and the Championship Picture
Six rounds of the 2026 outdoor season are now in the books and the 250 championship standings are telling a fascinating story. Southwick has a way of redistributing points in ways that no other round can — and the overall result here will shape how riders approach the remaining rounds as the title fight heads into its final stretch.
With Southwick done the series moves on to Spring Creek MX Park in Millville, Minnesota for Round 7 — another classic outdoor venue and another completely different challenge for the 250 field.
