The 250 class is back on the RedBud track for Moto 2 and Round 5 of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship is building toward its conclusion. With the Fourth of July crowd still buzzing and the Michigan sun overhead, the second moto of the day brought another chapter of what has been one of the most competitive 250 seasons in recent memory.
250 Class Moto 2 — RedBud
By Moto 2 the RedBud track has seen some action — but it holds up better than most outdoor venues and still offers some of the best racing conditions of the season. The layout stays fast and the lines remain multiple, giving aggressive 250 riders plenty of opportunities to make moves and put together the kind of lap times that decide overalls and shift championship points.

Points, Pressure and the Second Half of the Season
Five rounds in and the 250 championship is at a pivotal moment. The results at RedBud will have a real impact on how the second half of the 2026 outdoor season plays out. Riders chasing the points leader know that every moto between now and Ironman matters — and a strong Moto 2 at one of the biggest rounds of the year can be the kind of result that defines a season.
RedBud delivered again for the 250 class. The series now heads to Southwick for Round 6 — the legendary sand track in Massachusetts that will provide a completely different challenge for the entire field.
