250 Class Moto 2 — SMX World Championship Final
Triple points at Thunder Ridge means the entire championship can flip in a single moto — and that tension was written into every lap of the 250 finale. Kitchen came into the night as the points leader but the pressure of a World Championship finale on a brand new track in the Missouri Ozarks is unlike anything the outdoor season or the opening Playoff rounds can prepare a rider for. Ryder DiFrancesco has the speed and the hunger to make Kitchen earn every single point of that lead — and Julien Beaumer, fresh off the Carson overall win, is not here to play a secondary role.
Cole Davies, the 250MX outdoor champion, arrives at Moto 2 knowing this is his last chance to turn a difficult SMX Playoffs campaign into something memorable. The Thunder Ridge track — set within a breathtaking natural amphitheater in the Ozarks — gave the 250 class the perfect stage to close out one of the most competitive small bore seasons in recent memory.
