Round 3 of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship is underway at Thunder Valley and the 450 class opened the day with a Moto 1 that had plenty to offer. High altitude, a demanding track, and a stacked starting gate — including a name that caught the attention of many fans lining the fences this weekend.
450 Class Moto 1 — Thunder Valley
Racing at altitude is a leveler. The thin Colorado air at Thunder Valley affects every rider and every bike on the gate — and Moto 1 is always a revealing look at who has prepared for those conditions and who is feeling them. The track was fast and flowing in the early laps before the surface began to break down, and the 450 field pushed hard from the very first corner.
One name drawing extra attention at Thunder Valley this weekend is Coenen. Having a Coenen on the 450 starting gate is something fans of the sport always take notice of — and Moto 1 gave an early look at what to expect from the weekend.
